Update 2: what changed in your factory
New V2 recipes, simpler Superconductors, cheaper Core upgrades, and the transport and building changes worth checking in an existing save.

You are returning to an existing factory after Update 2, or planning a new one with the revised recipes.

Recalculate finished products before expanding old production lines. Both the ingredients and the output of a single machine may have changed.
What to expect
Faster machines can need more transport capacity even when they use fewer ingredients per finished item. Existing saved plans keep their original game-data version.

Start with the finished product
Update 2: Quality of Life arrived on September 2, 2026. Its production changes go well beyond a few faster machines. Creepy Jar published eleven recipe charts covering 93 entries. RuptureOps now includes those values, including 16 new V2 recipes and four existing recipes relabeled as alternatives. Unlisted recipes retain their previous values; they have not all been independently rechecked in game.
For an old factory, start with the item it exports and calculate the same target again. Compare the complete chain before adding more furnaces or rails. A machine that was starved before the update may now have enough input, while another may consume a different mix of materials. Old saved Architect plans remain pinned to their original data; generate a new plan to use Update 2.
Superconductors and the biology chain
A Constructorizer V2 now makes two Superconductors every six seconds: 20/min at full speed, down from 24/min. Each batch takes six Synthetic Resin, two Electromagnets, and eight Supermagnets. Aerogel and Heat Shields are no longer inputs for this recipe. An ordinary Compounder makes one every six seconds, or 10/min, using four Resin, one Electromagnet, and four Supermagnets.
Electromagnetic Coil Mega Presses now make two coils every four seconds, or 30/min. That doubles the old output per press, but you still need to feed the press at the new rate. Do not assume the same number of upstream machines is sufficient just because fewer presses are needed.
Biofilament now takes one Superconductor per batch instead of two, and makes one Biofilament every sixteen seconds: 3.75/min. Synthetic DNA makes one every twenty seconds, or 3/min, and uses two Biofilament per batch. Two DNA Facturers therefore need 12 Biofilament/min at full speed. Two Biofilament Facturers only make 7.5/min, so an old two-and-two layout still cannot sustain both DNA machines without more Biofilament production.
V2 now has regular and alternative choices
The new regular V2 recipes generally keep the V1 ingredient families while improving output. Alternatives use a different mix. That distinction is useful when you want a factory to work from local materials: the largest output number is not automatically the easiest recipe to supply.
Tube is a clear example. The new regular V2 recipe makes ten Tubes every two seconds from two Titanium Rods and two Titanium Sheets, or 300 Tubes/min. The alternative makes sixteen every two seconds from one Goethite Ingot and three Titanium Sheets, or 480/min. Choose based on the materials and transport you can actually provide, not just the machine count.
There are also new V2 options for Inductors, Supermagnets, Calcite Sheets, Titanium Beams, Stabilizers, Applicators, Lens, Nanofibre, Epoxy, and several other intermediates. The calculator lists the producer beside each recipe. Match the building selection to your unlocks; the newly published charts do not establish all research costs or unlock requirements.
Check transport before rebuilding
Drone Roundabouts now move drones at the speed of the fastest connected rail. The update also fixes storage continuing to request items after it is switched off. Those are worth testing in a congested factory before demolishing the whole transport system. Neither change proves that one shared rail can carry every new production rate; still add up the actual flows along each shared section.
The game now shows production per minute and the OCL package sendout rate. Use those displays alongside the calculator, then watch storage while the line runs. A short burst from full buffers is not evidence of sustained output. The patch notes mention deconstruction performance on large saves and performance at the start of a Fire Wave, but they do not promise that every megafactory will run smoothly.
Core upgrades and building tools
Core upgrade costs have been reduced. The published requirements use 5, 10, and 15 Meteorite Hearts for levels 2, 3, and 4; levels 5 through 8 use 15, 25, 40, and 40 Ignitium. Each level still needs its listed manufactured materials. The chart does not publish new heat capacities, so RuptureOps does not invent them.
Building tools now support copying a building with its settings using Z, copying only its structure with Ctrl+Z, and copying and pasting settings with Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. Multi-deconstruct and the option to leave foundations in place make reorganizing a factory less laborious. Adjustable pillars, automatic support placement, and platforms attached to pillar sides give you more ways to deal with uneven ground.
Other useful additions include storage and building search, custom Core and Teleporter names on the map, an autosave countdown, abandoned and infected base progress displays, and clearer corporation requirements. September 4 hotfix 0.3.2 addresses deconstruction crashes and a multiplayer Continue-button issue; its notes do not announce further recipe changes.
